Lemon mint (Monarda citriodora) is a flowering plant in the mint family, Lamiaceae, that is native to the southern United States and northern Mexico. Common names include lemon beebalm, lemon mint and purple horsemint. When crushed, the leaves emit an odor reminiscent of lemons.

The plant is an annual or biennial, growing to 1–2 feet (30–60 cm) tall. The leaves are opposite, lanceolate, 2–4 inches (5–10 cm) long and 1–2 inches (2.5–5 cm) wide. The flowers are borne in whorls on a spike, each flower being about 1 inch (2.5 cm) long. The petals are lavender to pink, with a white or lavender throat. The flowers bloom in summer, from June to August.
