Native Plants Community Advocate Program

We're glad you found your way to Native Flora Seeds!

Are you passionate about restoring native ecosystems? Do you want to make a difference in the natural environment of your local community? Are you looking for the tools to empower this work?

The Native Plants Community Advocate program is designed to give volunteers across the US the resources they need to get more native plants into the ground in their communities.

Some of the activities Community Advocates engage in are

  • Presenting informational community workshops
  • Engaging with local lawmakers to promote policies that support native habitats
  • Meeting with managers of garden nurseries to encourage selling more native species
  • Leading efforts to remove invasive species

Volunteers get to choose what activities they would like to do based on their own interests and what they want to see happen in their community.

The Pledge to Plant:

Every Native Plant Community Advocate agrees to the Pledge to Plant, which is a commitment to getting native plant seeds in the ground in their community. They can do this on a small scale in their own backyards and balconies or on a large scale with the help of other community members.
